The following Ballot Language is for the General Election throughout Rosebud County.

COUNTY QUESTION

Elections for the offices of County Commissioner District 1; County Commissioner District 2; County Commissioner District 3; County Attorney; County Sheriff; County Coroner; School Superintendent; District Court Clerk; County Treasurer; and County Clerk & Recorder are currently elected on a Partisan basis. SHALL County Elections held in Rosebud County for the above -named offices be changed from a Partisan basis (Political Party Identification) to a Nonpartisan basis (No Political Party Identification).

Fill in the oval next to the word “YES” if you are in favor of changing the type of election for the elected county officials of Rosebud County, Montana from a partisan election to a nonpartisan election.

MILL LEVY INCREASE QUESTION

‘Shall the Forsyth City Council be authorized to levy 101.26 mills being approximately $205,146 for a period of five (5) years to fund the law enforcement agreement with Rosebud County? The fiscal impact on a home having a market value of $100,000 is estimated to be $136.71 each year of the levy and $273.41 on a home having a market value of $200,000. Fill in the oval before the word “YES” if you wish to vote to allow the City Council to levy 101.26 Mills. Fill in the oval before the word “NO” if you wish to vote to not allow the City Council to levy 101.26 Mills. “

CHARTER QUESTION

“The Charter of the City of Forsyth provides for a legislative branch consisting of the City Council. The Charter provides further that the Council shall have four members elected from two districts/wards within the City; the districts/wards are based on population and must be as compact and equal in population as possible based on federal decennial census data. The Council wishes to ask the electors of the City whether Council members shall continue to be elected by district/ward or shall they be elected at large. Fill in the oval before the word “YES” if you wish to vote to change the Charter so that Council Members are elected at large. Fill in the oval before the word “NO” if you wish to continue having the Council Members elected by District/Wards.
